Meet Dr Colin Kilmartin

Hailing from Dublin, Dr. Colin Kilmartin commenced the study of medicine in 2003. Right after graduation from University College Dublin, he worked in the Mater Hospital before engaging in four years of specialist medical training in General Practice.
He has extensive hospital based experience in medicine and surgery including in Respiratory, Cardiology, Gynaecology, Obstetrics, Paediatrics, Emergency and Addiction medicine.
He has post graduate training in minor surgical skills with the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland and ran a successful minor surgery community clinic based in Dublin City University.
He has a Masters Degree in Public Health Management from University of Cumbria.
He spent three years living in the Arabian Gulf in Qatar working with Emir Al Thani as a Consultant Family Physician to establish the Qatar national addiction treatment program culminating in 2017 with the opening of a 125 bed treatment facility in Doha, Qatar.
He served his country as an Army Doctor working with Defence Forces Ireland. Commisioned as an army officer by President Michael D Higggins, he served as Captain of the Army Medical Corps in South Lebanon in 2019.
